As possible, we will be helping guests who are interested in carpooling. If you’d like to be connected to others arriving and departing at similar times, or are willing to pick up others on your way in, please let us know your plans below!

Getting To and From the Lodge
Chalet View Lodge is located in a small, rural town. It’s not easy to get from place to place without a car. We did a little research to make sure you’ve got options:

This is the most straightforward option. There are many rental car agencies available at Reno airport and plenty of parking available on site. If you plan to rent a car and are open to carpools, make sure to let us know so we can connect you to other guests!

App-based ride shares are easy to find at the Reno airport, but may be more challenging on the way back. Wait times may be unpredictable. If you choose this option for your ride back, we suggest having a back-up plan in mind.

Taxis are available in Reno and near the lodge (if you schedule ahead of time).
If there is a large group of guests arriving around the same time, it may be cost effective to coordinate a shuttle from a local agency. If you’re interested in this option, make sure to let us know below.

For the particularly adventurous, we also found a bus route (~$10) that will take you from Reno Airport to Hallelujah Junction on Fridays at 1:45pm and back on Mondays at 11am. That gets you about halfway there, so you’d need to coordinate a ride share, carpool, or taxi for the rest of the trip. The website is a little confusing, but you can learn more here.
Finding Food Upon Arrival
We’ll have s’mores waiting for you Friday evening, but here are a couple of recommendations to make sure you arrive well-fed.

Open Fridays 12pm to 10pm
Near Reno Airport
Located just ~10 minutes from the Reno Airport, this spot has delicious salads, wood oven pizzas (including vegan cheese options!), and sandwiches.
Eureka Peak Brewing Co.
Open Fridays 4pm to 8pm
On-Site at Chalet View Lodge
With a small rotating menu of bar classics like wings, pizzas, and pretzels, this is the quick and easy on-site option.
